Have you ever found yourself on a fast day feeling good and suddenly things just don’t go to plan? This is normal! Recently, we have received a few questions from our amazing members in regards to this topic. What do you do when a fast day just doesn’t work out? Keep on reading to find out…

First and foremost always remember, life happens! It is common for things to just not go to plan. Absolutely do not get down in the dumps, do not beat yourself up, and ALWAYS remember here at SuperFastDiet, we are all about #noguilt. We get up and try again, with the support of thousands of awesome women right behind us!
Switch up your days
The beauty with two of our three methods, being the 2-day and the 3-day method is the ability to move around your fast days with such ease! Whether it be from week to week or even each day you decide how you are going calorie-wise, the days can be altered depending on your situation! If you realise suddenly you’ve gone over your 500 calories for the day… no problem! Make it a non-fast day and make the following day your 500-calorie fast day. How good is that?
Give another method a go
This is a tip that works almost exclusively if you are doing the 2-day method and finding yourself over your 500 calories for the day. Make this an opportunity to give our fabulous 3-day method a try! Whether it be that 500 calories that day just isn’t cutting it, or you miscalculate and realise you’ve hit 800 calories before dinner time, why not give the 3-day method a go?
This means you can eat up to 1000 calories for 3 days instead of 500 calories for 2 days of the week. Easy peasy! You might even find your new favourite method!
The day isn’t over!
If you find yourself very close to or even over your calories at a point in the day where you have a big chunk of the day left – it is ok! Immediately feeling annoyed at yourself and going into a negative headspace isn’t the answer. Don’t utter those guilt-ridden words “Oh, well. I ate the chocolate. I may as well just write-off today and eat whatever I want!”. Your mindset is one of, if not the most important part of your diet journey. If you fall into that trap and negative headspace, it can be hard to get out of. You will then find yourself reaching for things, even if you don’t feel like them or are actually full!
Instead, stick to doing things that will help, not hinder you. Continue to eat to your calories as if you hadn’t had a mishap, go for a walk or exercise to clear your head, and keep drinking lots of water! It all helps!
You might even find that the small number of calories you have left could still be used, without you going over. Think corn thins, soups, or konjac noodle stir-fries!
Learn from it, and try again
Simply speaking – life happens. Don’t dwell on the mistake! We can assure you almost every single one of our members and staff has had one of these days. Sticking to your calories just seems way too hard and every single food imaginable is calling your name. Whether this means the day is a write-off, or even the week – that is ok! Make the next day or the next week a chance to reset, restart, and try again. Good things take time!
