“The partnership between SuperFastDiet and Human Kind Project is the coming together of brands and founders that truly believe in human potential, and the idea that we can give while creating something amazing and connecting people all at the same time!” – Jacinta McDonell, Founder of Human Kind Project

It Feels Good To Do Good

Back when SFD was still just a twinkle in the eyes of co-founders (and BFFs) Gen and Victoria, one of the things that connected them was their deep desire to make a difference in the world. “Doing anything for others affects people in a positive way, as it feels great to give. Often even more than to receive,” explains Co-Founder and Chief Cheerleader Gen Davidson. “We feel better when we give,” notes Founder of the Human Kind Project and Super Expert Jacinta McDonell. “We feel better when we feel connected to a cause and when our small efforts create social change. At our core, I believe as humans we know that our true potential is only found when we connect and share with others. Giving in a small or big way is simply a way to express who we really are.” And resident psychologist Dr. Tim Sharp agrees: “The good news is that there’s bucket loads of research and decades of science that shows that giving is good for us. In giving, we receive. We feel good, the receiver feels good. It really is one of the most wonderful things we can do for ourselves and for everyone around us!”

“For me, giving is a way to create a world I wish to see for my kids and a way to teach them that we live in a wonderful world filled with opportunity, but not to take any part of it for granted. Giving keeps me humbled, resilient and grounded.” – Jacinta McDonell, Founder of Human Kind Project

Business For Good

As the concept for SuperFastDiet developed, Victoria and Gen both realised that one of their non-negotiable business goals was the notion of business for good. “Vicki and I had decided long ago that philanthropy was an integral part of the business. We had already chosen The Hunger Project as a cause that we wanted to support. When we heard [founder of the Human Kind Project and Super Expert] Jacinta McDonell speak at an event, part of what made us realise she was a kindred spirit was the way she spoke about business for good, people for purpose and the idea of ‘standing for something more’,” reveals Gen. “Human Kind Project supports The Hunger Project, and it’s really about giving people the education and the tools to get themselves out of hunger, poverty and ill health.” The synergy between the Human Kind Project and SuperFastDiet was immediately clear. Both businesses work to educate, empower and transform lives. “We felt like this was a cause that fitted with our brand. It completely resonated with us and so we contacted her to offer our support.”

What Is Human Kind Project?

“Human Kind Project was born from a simple desire to be a voice for good,” explains Founder Jacinta McDonell. “Choosing a major cause was simple: hunger and poverty is something I think simply should not exist in our generation, and it must end. Our generation should be the one to end this for generations to come. I am grateful every day for the businesses and people connected to Human Kind Project. We grow every year and I am very proud of what we have achieved so far and what we will achieve.”

For Gen, Victoria and the Super Squad, the partnership was a no-brainer. “We’re really doing quite similar things,” explains Gen. “Educating, empowering and giving tools so that people can become the super heroes of their own stories. We just do it on opposite sides of the globe. We hope that our SFD members will feel that while they are helping themselves with a program that educates them and gives them the tools to overcome their weight issues, part of the money they have paid will go to doing the same for people who, through no fault of their own, are living in unacceptable conditions.”
