Is your sweet tooth getting the better of you? These low-cal sweet treats are exactly what you need!
The great thing about SFD is that sugar isn’t a forbidden fruit. And as much as we might consider him to be the bad boy of the macro nutrients world, we also know he’s super tasty, and worth a little indulgence every now and then. So we’ve compiled some of our favourite easy peasy, low-calorie dessert ideas to remind you that life’s a party on a part-time diet. Let’s shake up that meal prep with some oh-so-lush confections, shall we?

Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • 4 squares dark chocolate

Method

1. Spoon the peanut butter into a small ramekin or bowl.

2. Break up the dark chocolate into individual squares and place in the same bowl as the peanut butter.

3. Place the ramekin into the microwave on medium-high (60%) for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

4. Keep an eye on the microwave as chocolate may melt faster depending on your microwave power.

5. Once the chocolate is almost melted, remove from the microwave.

6. Stir well until the peanut butter and chocolate are completely combined.

7. Portion out teaspoon sized servings onto greaseproof kitchen paper and place into a Tupperware container.

8. Freeze these portions overnight or for 2 hours minimum.

Frozen Yoghurt Drops

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain low fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened dried cranberries coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shelled and roasted pistachios coarsely chopped

Method

1. Line two trays with baking paper. Make sure that the trays are small enough to easily slide into the freezer.

2. Stir honey through yoghurt. Transfer mixture to a piping bag.

3. Pipe eight round discs onto each paper lined tray. Alternatively, dollop tablespoons of the mixture onto the tray, smoothing each with a palette knife.

4. Scatter cranberries and pistachios evenly over the yoghurt discs.

5. Place trays in the freezer for at least an hour. When yoghurt discs are completely frozen peel from the baking paper and store in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to serve.
